Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Darlington is seeking an enthusiastic Test Technology Engineer Placement Student to join our team, focusing on test facility development and technology for our Test Technology Business Segment.

During the 12-month placement starting Summer 2027, you will gain hands-on experience in a global engineering environment while relocating to be on-site. You will work with engineering teams on testing projects, learn how Cummins operates, and develop measurement equipment capabilities

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
Ability to quickly absorb and learn new technologies.
Must be a team player with the ability to manage workload and balance multiple tasks.
Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects around test infrastructure and development activity.
Develop and apply practical skills through troubleshooting equipment or facilities.
Communicate with engineering teams on ongoing test and development projects.
Collaborate with global teams on Cummins technology.
Develop capabilities and use cases of measurement equipment and transducers for emissions or mechanical system performance.
