Job description

Newcastle-under-Lyme

Monday – Friday

£26,000 - £28, 000

As a Test Technician you will oversee and manage the testing of all production assemblies. This is a hands-on role, requiring a deep understanding of cable assembly manufacturing, automated test equipment, electronic diagnostics and calibration procedures.

• Design and Develop ATE test programs and procedures to validate production assemblies
• Design, build and maintain custom test jigs and fixtures to support production testing requirements
• Conduct first off testing to verify both testing and manufacturing processes
• Diagnose faults down to component level
• Maintain test documentation including test specifications, reports and procedures
• Manage the calibration schedule of all production tools and equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with all procedures is met
• Perform on-site calibration of tools and organise external calibration services as required
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality departments to continuously improve test processes and reliability
• Train and support production staff in the use of test equipment and tooling
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication skills and ability to form relationships with multicultural colleagues (must have excellent written and spoken English skills)
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and priorities
• Computer literate with good fundamental knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 workspace
