Job Opportunity: Test Technician at Leonardo, Basildon

Responsibilities
  1. Work as a key member of the operations team, supporting cross-functional projects and contributing to the business’s future.
  2. Collaborate with highly knowledgeable operators, supported by ongoing training to advance your career.
  3. Maintain high standards of quality, attention to detail, and a passion for working with innovative processes and high-quality products.
Candidate Requirements

Must have:

  • Experience with traditional test tools such as digital meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, analyzers, and computers.
  • Ability to perform bespoke and repeat testing of high-value electro-mechanical assemblies following detailed procedures.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, following precise standards.
  • Ability to interpret and follow production test procedures, control plans, schematics, and quality instructions.
  • Experience in recording and maintaining test results and documentation.
  • Basic fault-finding, analysis, and diagnosis skills for electronic assemblies.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and safety regulations, including health and safety, FOD, and ESD practices.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team leaders and other departments.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience testing optical, RF, digital electronics, or PCB assemblies.
  • Good computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptability to change and handling unexpected situations.
