Job summary

Leonardo UK in Luton is seeking a Test Solutions Engineer to join the Test Solutions team, focusing on complex electronic test solutions (RF, digital and analogue). You will contribute to hardware/software test solution development from requirements through testing, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

You will apply LabVIEW and TestStand, support supplier interactions, and manage parts and documentation within the project lifecycle. Travel within the UK/Europe may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in electronics, software, or related field.

• Experience in defence electronics sector is preferred.

Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.**Your Impact:** Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Test Development Engineer to join the Test Solutions team. We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineer, familiar with working on complex electronic (ideally RF, Digital and analogue based) Test Solutions. Our Systems Engineers work in multidisciplinary teams spanning a range of activities pulling together the necessary engineering and technology strands into a high-performance system, bridging the gap between the theoretically possible and the practically implementable. **What you will do:*** The scope of work can range from design and technical problem solving to test solution development* Support the requirements capture for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS)* Control of Parts and Documentation including change management* Ensure effective implementation of the company's Life-cycle design reviews* Be part of a team that develops the hardware/software test solution including the requirements specification through to testing* Software development using LabVIEW & Test Stand* Support the management of Suppliers and project Make/Buy decisions as required* Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies e.g. with test solutions or obsolescence **What you’ll bring*** Good understanding of a range of electronic technologies and a good understand of one of the Hardware/Systems/Software engineering lifecycles* Experience of working with external supplies* Degree qualified (or equivalent)* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders* Demonstrate team working skills **It would be nice if you had:*** Good understanding of digital/analogue/RF systems with ESM and ECM* Test equipment exposure including operating/maintaining equipment* Experience of working in the defence electronics sector, ideally with airborne sensor systems* DOORS or equivalent requirements capture tool* LabVIEW and TestStand Experience, or equivalent software test automation tools Travel within the UK and Europe may be required for this role.**Primary Location:**GB - Luton - Cap.
