Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a skilled Test Rig Engineer to support the development and operation of advanced test systems in Bicester. This hands-on role suits engineers with a mechanical or electrical bias who enjoy building and troubleshooting complex rigs.

You will build and assemble test rigs from team designs, configure test environments, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure safety and reliability of equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience building or assembling test rigs, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills with mechanical or electrical bias.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings or technical designs.
• Experience with industrial machinery or complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble test rigs based on team designs.
• Set up and configure test systems and environments.
• Operate test rigs to carry out testing activities.
• Work with equipment such as: Dynos, back-to-back test setups, vibration tables.
• Ensure rigs are functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Cpontract - LONG TERM ON GOING

£20 AN HOUR paye

£30 - £40 an hour umbrella

Key Responsibilities for Test Rig Engineer

• Build and assemble test rigs based on team designs
• Set up and configure a variety of test systems and environments
• Work with equipment such as:
  • Dynos
  • Back-to-back test setups
  • Vibration tables
  • Other bespoke and industrial test rigs
• Operate test rigs to carry out testing activities
• Ensure all rigs are functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably
