Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a DV Cleared Test Lead for a 12-month, on-site role in Reading, supporting a major defence programme. You will oversee testing strategy, planning, governance and delivery across a complex technology environment, with responsibilities spanning system, integration, regression, and non-functional testing.

DV Cleared Test Lead

Location: Reading - fully on-site
Contract: 12 months
Clearance: Active DV clearance required
Sector: Defence / MOD

We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared Test Lead for a 12-month contract supporting a major defence programme in Reading.

You will lead the testing function across a complex technology environment, with responsibility for test strategy, planning, governance and delivery. The role requires strong experience with Azure DevOps, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and MOD programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the programme's test strategy, plans and governance.
• Lead system, integration, regression, acceptance and non-functional testing.
• Manage test cases, defects, reporting and traceability through Azure DevOps.
• Coordinate test activities across technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders.

Essential experience

• Current and active DV clearance.
• Proven experience as a Test Lead on complex programmes.
• Strong Azure DevOps experience, including test and defect management.
• Experience testing PLM platforms and integrations.
• Previous MOD experience - essential.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Reading.
