Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Test Fitter to join the test team in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will install pumps for testing, align rotors, and assist with lubrication and cooling where needed, ensuring reliable performance.

The role focuses on testing cycles, quality control, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to train peers and advance within a global, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Fitter with at least 3 years relevant experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Should have a safety mindset to manage risks within the test environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment is advantageous and lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Demonstratable experience of working within a team to complete tasks under tight timeframes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of clear documentation.
• Must be able to undertake National Security Vetting and obtain security clearance up to SC level.

Responsibilities

• Install pumps for testing including ancillary equipment, foundations, pipework, and rotor alignment.
• Control test parameters (temperatures, pressures) within acceptable limits.
• Highlight non-conformances and work with others to resolve issues.
• Breakdown temporary test arrangements and store equipment after testing.
• Ensure quality of work and complete paperwork/checklists.
• Perform maintenance on test department equipment to maximize reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to improve safety, reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Work in other assembly areas as required.
• Support managers and test department staff to implement policies and goals.
• Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines.
• Provide on-going training to peers and apprentices as required.
• Be available for further internal and external training as needed.
