Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Test Fitter to join the test team, focusing on pumps for OE and AM orders. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, testing, and dismantling of pump test setups, with a drive to improve safety, workflow and cost efficiency.

The role requires time served mechanical fitting with 3+ years in heavy manufacturing, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to obtain SC security clearance. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Fitter with at least 3 years relevant experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
• Safety minded attitude to manage risks within the test environment.
• Experience with rotating equipment and laser alignment would be advantageous.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to undertake National Security Vetting and obtain security clearance up to SC level.

Responsibilities

• Installation of pumps for testing including foundations, pipework and rotor alignment.
• Control test parameters such as temperatures and pressures during operational tests.
• Identify non-conformances and work with others to resolve issues.
• Dismantle temporary test arrangements and store equipment.
• Ensure own quality of work and complete paperwork and checklists.
• Perform maintenance on test department equipment to maximise reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement to improve safety, reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Work in other assembly areas when required.
• Collaborate with managers and test personnel to implement company policies and goals.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Provide training and support to peers and apprentices as required.
• Be available for further training if required.
