Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer for a 6-month contract in Stevenage. The role involves designing, integrating, and validating test system hardware within the TE CofEx, ensuring technical excellence across projects.

The position requires hands-on experience in hardware design for test equipment, with opportunities to lead and develop the team while driving quality and process improvements. Salary is £50 per hour (umbrella).

Qualifications

• Experience in designing test hardware for product life cycle.
• Ability to develop proposals and investigate technical issues.
• Proven ability to produce documentation for in-service use of products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and develop designs to quality and technical standards.
• Develop proposals for investigations and solutions after analyzing issues.
• Carry out design appraisals to maintain standards.
• Define and specify test approaches and improvements to testing processes.
• Plan team activities, manage risks, and ensure project quality.
