Job summary

Ciwmjobs seeks an experienced Test Environment Manager to lead the transformation from a legacy setup to microservices using Java/Kafka/OpenShift. Your role includes OpenShift/Kafka environments, automation, and ongoing support for legacy systems.

You will partner with architects, developers, QA and operations, driving on-demand agile environmental provisioning, monitoring and continuous improvement across production and test landscapes.

Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years in managing test environments and strategies in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on work with OpenShift/Linux platforms and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka).
• Experience with Azure cloud and IaC tools such as Ansible; experience with OpenShift/Kafka environments.
• Strong CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own test environment strategy aligned with transformation goals and microservices needs.
• Provision, configure, maintain, cost and decommission test and prod environments.
• Integrate environments with CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning via IaC.
• Monitor performance, usage and health; develop dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with developers, QA and ops to address environment issues.
