Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Eastbourne, United Kingdom, seeks a Test Engineering Manager for Product Development to shape and execute the site's test strategy across operations. You will lead a Test Development team, drive design, development, and deployment of test solutions for new products from concept to volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years hands-on experience in test engineering within electronics or system development.
• Experience developing test solutions for PCBA testing and in-circuit testing; familiarity with Keysight platforms.
• Proven leadership in managing Test Engineering teams and mentoring staff.
• Defined test strategies, standards, and architectures across multiple product families.
• In-depth knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) and test coverage optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Test Development team and foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Define site-wide test strategies for PCA and final product testing aligned with business goals.
• Oversee development and standardization of test architectures across hardware, fixtures, software, and data capture.
• Embed DFT principles through concept to production stages and optimize manufacturing productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handover and production readiness of test systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality regulations, including ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Lead governance for design reviews, validation workflows, change controls, and production releases.
• Pioneer automation and data-driven approaches to boost test effectiveness and cost efficiency.
