Position Overview:

As a Field Engineer in our Oil and Gas division, you will respond to customer's repair and service requests. You will diagnose issues and provide detailed information to both the customer and Finning to prepare quotes, ensuring solutions are cost and time-efficient.

Working within Finning's industry-leading field service department, and for the largest CAT dealer in the UK and Ireland, you will be at the forefront of site diagnostics and repairs for Caterpillar products.

Location

- This role is home-based with reporting to the Aberdeen depot.

Job Description:

Your duties include responding to customer repair and service requests, diagnosing problems, and providing detailed reports to facilitate accurate quoting.

Main Job Functions

• Estimate arrival times based on job instructions, customer location, and current work status.
• Register your arrival on site and adhere to customer procedures.
• Diagnose equipment issues in collaboration with customer operators and using specialized equipment, providing comprehensive details for quoting.
• Identify necessary parts, requisition them, and coordinate delivery times for service scheduling.
• Perform repair and service tasks according to the work plan, including component removal, dispatch, and reinstallation.
