Job description

Job Title: Test Engineer SC Cleared or SC Eligible

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber (Leeds Hub)

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium (Java and Maven), Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
2. Contribute to test planning by identifying test cases for automation and determining testing approaches.
3. Execute automated tests, analyze results, and document defects clearly for developers.
4. Investigate failures, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and enhance test reliability.
5. Work in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, leading testing activities and engaging with stakeholders.

Key Skills/Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with Selenium Automation Testing (Java and Maven).
• API Testing (manual using Postman/Insomnia; automation using Java Rest Assured).
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD processes.

Experience Required

• Experience with testing frameworks such as BDD, TDD, Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit.
• Understanding of framework integration with Jenkins or GitLab (continuous integration).
• Knowledge of JMeter.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of Accessibility Testing tools (WCAG axe/wave/arc).

Ability to work in a hybrid setting and collaborate with team members.

Additional Remarks

• Undertake client interviews and technical assessments.
• Must be SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance.
• Have worked continuously in the UK for more than 5 years.
