The Role

We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our expert engineering team at our Leeds head office. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT) on our advanced cremation and incineration machinery prior to shipment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on highly specialised equipment, ensuring quality, compliance, and functionality at every stage of the testing process.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct FAT on complex cremation and incineration systems, ensuring high performance and safety standards.
• Prepare and complete all necessary FAT documentation and ensure KPIs are consistently updated.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and design documentation to support testing procedures.
• Liaise with internal engineering teams, external partners, and customers throughout the testing process.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and document results clearly.
• Support occasional site visits (domestic and international) when required to meet business needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Recognised electrical qualification and proven experience in electrical testing.
• Experience testing and fault finding on complex mechanical and electrical machinery.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and ability to interrogate PLC software.
• Previous experience commissioning equipment in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timelines.
• Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Confident working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
