Prattwhitney is seeking a Test Engineer for a full-time, permanent position located in Filton, UK. The role involves working within an Agile software delivery team, developing automated test frameworks, and managing test environments.

Key responsibilities include producing test strategies and ensuring compliance with project guidelines. Candidates should have experience with Agile/Scrum and eDV clearance. Position

Raytheon UK – Test Engineer (Full-time, Permanent, Onsite)

Location

Gloucester, South Gloucestershire (also Manchester or London – fully onsite)

Responsibilities

• Apply test skills and experience within an Agile software delivery team.


• Responsible for creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks.


• Define and manage test environments; create and manage test data; define and manage test tools.


• Support test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues.


• Contribute to production of test documents using appropriate tools as required.


• Raise defects and support the wider development team in their resolution.


• Manage creation of automated and manual test scripts.


• Produce test and deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery model.


• Experience deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows.


• Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and demonstrable evidence of relevant test methodologies and toolsets.


• Experience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools.


• eDV clearance required.

Desirable

• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.


• Experience with scripting languages for automation.


• AWS and/or Azure.


• Continuous Integration.


• Linux system administration.


• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, performance testing tools.
