Job summary

Thales UK is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer in Crawley to join a collaborative team responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing both customer and developmental items. The role emphasizes fault diagnosis, documentation, and safe use of production tools in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have an electronics background with the ability to read diagrams, knowledge of through-hole and SMT techniques, and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Experience in a Production Test or multi-skilled environment.
• Fault diagnosis and repair down to component level.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent + 3 years’ relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Test Engineer

Crawley Monday – Thursday 37 hours

Must be eligible for SC-level clearance

What You’ll Do

• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical assembly to defined standards
• Identify and log faults with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain essential documentation throughout the build/test process
• Use tools and production equipment safely and efficiently
• Work closely with engineers, planners, and project teams in a supportive, team-based environment

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a Production Test or multi-skilled environment
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of through-hole & surface mount tech
• Skilled in fault diagnosis and repair down to component level
• HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent + 3 years’ relevant experience
• Confident user of MS Word & Excel
• A team player who values quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
