Job summary

Bestman Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Test Engineer to support infrastructure and platform projects across legacy and modern containerised environments. This hands-on role blends testing, automation and environment readiness to ensure successful delivery.

You will work with engineering, infrastructure and delivery teams to define requirements, perform testing and refresh test environments, and report on readiness and risk. Financial services context is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in technical testing or test engineering.
• Strong experience testing infrastructure, platforms or technically complex environments.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX, OpenShift, Kafka, Java, C#, SQL and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with testing and monitoring tools (UFT, Azure DevOps, Splunk, Cucumber, Selenium).
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Good understanding of BDD/TDD and Agile delivery environments.
• Experience supporting test environment preparation and infrastructure change.
• Financial services experience in regulated or business-critical contexts.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and business teams.
• Proactive, engineering-led approach to problem-solving.

We are supporting a financial services organisation undertaking a significant technology modernisation programme across its critical infrastructure and application landscape.

As part of this transformation, the organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Test Engineer to support infrastructure and platform projects spanning both legacy technology and modern containerised, microservices-based environments.

This is a hands-on role combining technical testing, test automation and environment readiness. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure and delivery teams to ensure complex technology changes are appropriately tested, and environments are ready to support successful delivery.
