Job summary

STERIS in Bishop's Stortford is recruiting a Test Engineer to support our Medisafe manufacturing team. You will perform test setup, execute machine cycles, monitor performance and ensure high quality products.

The role requires experience with electronics and electrical systems, fault finding, and working in a process-driven environment. You will document results, assist with design improvements and ensure calibration and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electronics / Electrical systems.
• Able to work within a process-driven environment and explain/relay process information to others.
• Experience in Fault finding.
• Experience working in Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test set ups for machines on receipt from assembly lines for test.
• Perform all test checks and run machine cycles in accordance with test procedures.
• Monitor performance and diagnostics to ensure high quality standards of products.
• Ensure methodical test processes are followed to allow successful pass and despatch.
• Manage DPU and FPY data, NCR processes and input into design improvements.
• Test/Validate software before release into production where required.
• Provide training where necessary.
• Ensure machines have route cards identified at all times.
• Ensure all test equipment used is within calibration date.

What You Will Do

• Preparation set up of machines upon receipt from assembly lines for test
• Perform all test checks and run machine cycles in accordance with test software procedures
• Monitoring performance and diagnostics to ensure high quality standards of products
• Ensuring methodical test processes are followed to allow successful pass and despatch
• Manage DPU and FPY data, NCR processes and input into any design improvements
• Test/Validate software before release into production where required
• Provide training where necessary
• Ensure machines are identified with route cards at all times
• Ensure all test equipment used is undamaged and within calibration date
• Ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to.

Required Experience

• Experience working in the same or relevant field of work.
• Able to work within a process driven environment and explain/relay process information to others.
• Experience in Electronics / Electrical systems, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics
• Experience working with Electro Mechanically operated units, and a knowledge of wet and dry systems
• Fault Finding
• Working within manufacturing.
