Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Development Engineer, specialising in circuit card electronic test, to join our Test Development team at our Bolton site.

Working in an established team, you'll create and maintain small to medium-sized automated test systems. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing test strategies, influencing product design through 'Design for Test', creating test strategy documents, designing Interchangeable Test Adaptors (both mechanical and electrical), and developing automated test sequences in accordance with test specifications.

You will also have the opportunity to engage in continuous improvement activities and develop new technologies.

What we're looking for from you:
  • Sound understanding of fundamental analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Experience creating and using technical documentation and drawings, such as schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering drawings.
  • Significant experience creating Automated Test Equipment.
  • Experience using NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand (preferable).
  • Experience with Boundary Scan / XJTAG (preferable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement; Six Sigma experience is desirable.

Note: The job offers a salary circa £43,000 depending on experience, with a hybrid working pattern (3-4 days on-site). Security clearance requirements include British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship, and candidates will undergo BPSS checks.
