Job summary

Johnson Matthey, Inc. is seeking a Test Cell Engineer (Engineer I) to perform analytical review of test cycles, program software test cycles, and design/test cell automation in Taylor, MI.

The role includes evaluating gasoline and diesel platforms, emissions, and aftertreatment components, with a focus on data integrity and reporting. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, requiring a BS in CS or ME and 5+ years of related work experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.
• 5 years of experience in automotive testing using Data Acquisition Systems (A&D) and analysis of engine aftertreatment data.
• 2 years of experience in software programming, test/data management, and automation.
• 1 year of experience applying aftertreatment chemistry principles for test design and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical review of standardized test cycles and aging protocols for diesel and gasoline platforms.
• Program and validate software test cycle programming and test cell automation.
• Conduct emissions and aftertreatment system evaluations for DOC, SCR, DPF, and related components.
• Generate data reports and summary presentations for customers and training technicians.
• Provide project support including process improvements, calibrations and deliverables.
