What You’ll Do

  • Leads a team of software engineers in developing new products or features, maintaining existing codebases, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Manages project timelines and ensure deadlines are met while adhering to quality standards.
  • Collaborates with other departments such as product management, marketing, customer service, etc., to ensure successful product launches.
  • Develops strategies for improving efficiency within the engineering team by leveraging automation tools or introducing new processes/methodologies.
  • Monitors performance metrics related to engineering projects (e.g., bug count) and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Mentors junior engineers on best practices for coding standards, debugging techniques, etc., while providing feedback on their work performance regularly.
  • Stays up-to-date on industry trends related to software engineering technologies/tools/processes; identify opportunities for improvement where applicable.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical Management experience in software engineering team management with practicing DevOps and agile knowledge with a failing fast culture.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages including Python, Java, database.
  • Coordinate across many internal and external teams and provide visibility to the company’s senior leaders with their strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and operations.
  • Ideally experience in Dual Band router or Video Platform or Streaming Device capabilities
  • Experience designing or architecting distributed (design patterns, reliability and scaling) new and existing systems.
  • Strong experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment.
  • Passionate and motivated to learn quickly, think big, bring creatively with a startup mindsets to execute strategically and tactically in project deliverables.
