About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Quality Specialist to join our growing data team.

The primary purpose is to define, monitor, and enforce data quality standards and policies that align with CTM’s strategic objectives. They assess data sources, identify data quality issues, and develop mechanisms to prevent errors or inconsistencies from entering systems. This work is foundational to maintaining data integrity, which supports better decision-making, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with data owners, SID teams and business stakeholders to establish clear definitions, validation rules, and metrics for assessing data quality. They lead data profiling activities, analysing trends in data issues, and implement data cleansing initiatives. They also support the development and maintenance of metadata and data governance frameworks to ensure consistent use of data across CTM.

Ultimately, the role helps create a culture of data stewardship and continuous improvement. By embedding data quality into business processes and systems, they enable CTM to use data as a strategic asset. Their work contributes to more accurate reporting, improved customer experience, and better outcomes in areas such as business intelligence, compliance, and strategic planning.

Skills & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data quality, data governance, or data management roles, ideally within complex or global environments.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in data profiling, validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes using tools like Informatica (or equivalent).

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of data quality issues and develop effective solutions.

Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to convey complex data issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. Proven ability to advocate for data standards and influence adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work across departments—including ICT, Finance, Operations, and Marketing—to align and embed data quality initiatives that support CTM’s goals.

Collaboration & Training: Proven ability to educate and train internal teams and external partners on data quality tools and best practices, fostering a culture of stewardship and continuous improvement.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with the latest tools, trends, and best practices in data quality through personal development, research, and training.
