Job summary

Pab Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a major UK banking group, focusing on automation testing across retail lending and digital platforms. The role requires hands-on Java/Selenium development and API testing expertise, with an emphasis on building scalable automated regression test suites.

Hybrid-working arrangement with Edinburgh office presence twice a week, and a salary opportunity up to £50,000 plus a 10% pension contribution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium automation.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience building or maintaining automated regression test suites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and maintain automated tests using Java and Selenium.
• Test REST APIs and system integrations using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Build and strengthen robust, reusable automated regression test suites.
• Plan testing activities, identify risks and prioritise testing effectively.
• Support testing for system upgrades, data remediation and application changes.
• Carry out end-to-end, integration and manual testing where required.
• Investigate defects, communicate findings and work with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, including teams involved in Customer Borrowing.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing tools, frameworks and approaches, making recommendations where appropriate.
