Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to design and execute automated testing strategies for frontend and backend systems. You will implement Playwright-based frontend tests and Java/TypeScript backend tests within a collaborative, Agile team.

The role involves integrating tests into GitLab CI pipelines, supporting Dockerized test environments, and driving test coverage and performance improvements through sprint planning and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated testing across frontend and backend systems.
• Proficiency with Java or TypeScript for test automation.
• Familiarity with Playwright or similar frontend testing tools.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Working knowledge of Docker for test environments.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for frontend and backend systems.
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines (GitLab).
• Support containerized testing environments using Docker.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to improve test coverage and reliability.
