Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions for modern web applications. The role focuses on building automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive UI test automation experience, strong TS expertise, and a passion for delivering reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UI test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Buildkite, Spinnaker, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
  • Experience developing clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Ability to independently drive automation initiatives and improve quality engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Create reusable, maintainable, and scalable automated test scripts for end-to-end, integration, and UI testing.
  • Drive the adoption of automation best practices, coding standards, and framework design patterns across engineering teams.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite, Spinnaker, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product, and QA teams to define test strategies and improve software quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation, testing, and integration challenges across multiple applications and services.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle by participating in planning sessions, design reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor test execution, maintain test coverage metrics, and communicate quality status to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall quality engineering practices.
  • Maintain automation code using Git and version control best practices.
  • Support Agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
