Role: Test Automation Architect

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Coventry, UK (Hybrid – 3 days)

Number of hours: Standard

The Role

As a Test Automation Architect, you will lead a large testing program requiring the development of a scalable and robust automation framework tailored to the warehouse management domain. The candidate will work closely with Heads of Engineering (HOE) and Product Owners.

Key Responsibilities

1. The Architect will define and implement comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks suited to logistics projects.
2. Strategic Test Planning: Develop and execute testing strategies aligned with project requirements.
3. Create and maintain test plans, scenarios, and scripts using industry-standard tools.
4. Automation Framework Development: Design and develop automated testing frameworks, tools, and scripts; maintain and scale the automation codebase.
5. Performance and Security Testing: Conduct tests to ensure software reliability and security.
6. CI/CD Integration: Implement and manage pipelines to embed automated testing into the development lifecycle.
7. Tool and Technology Evaluation: Assess and select suitable testing tools and technologies.

Your Profile

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Proficiency in .NET technologies.
• Knowledge of Java (advantageous).
• Extensive experience in test automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud services.
• Knowledge of architectural principles.

Good to Have:

• Experience with performance and security testing tools.
• Knowledge of containerization and virtualization technologies.
