A leading company in smart meter connectivity is seeking a Test Assurance Manager for an initial 6-month contract in London. The role involves managing test assurance activities, leading a team, and ensuring high-quality standards are met. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in test team management and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Connecting every home and business to a single, secure smart meter network is a huge undertaking. So you can imagine the scale – and variety – and opportunities for the people who'll help us do it.
London Hybrid working model, 2 days a week office based, 3 days remote)
Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 month contract as a Test Assurance Manager on a hybrid working model based in London. As Test Assurance Manager you will manage all required Test Assurance activities across the designated test phases for assigned programmes. This includes line management of Test Assurance Leads and Test Assurance Analysts in accordance with DCC’s management policies
What will you be doing?
• Manage DCC’s engagement with the Programmes/Projects and Service Providers on test assurance matters for relevant projects
• Line manage and develop Test Assurance Leads and Test Assurance Analysts
• Establish the scope and agree the testing to be undertaken by the Service Providers
• Direct the analysis of test evidence to confirm that agreed criteria have been met
• Collate, report and present information on the progress of testing and its assurance
• Produce high-quality written reports
What are we looking for?
• Extensive Test Team management experience, can evidence developing and coaching team members in previous roles, committed to driving a high performing, quality service through continuous improvement with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Strong experience of managing multiple workstreams
• Ability and experience necessary to rapidly understand complex functionality and architectures alongside and in-depth understanding of testing standards and processes, and how these apply to a service provider
• Excellent analytical skills, able to identify exceptions to the agreed test approach, propose alternative solutions and appropriate responses
• Strong communications skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to present technical issues clearly and confidently to a non-technical group and to senior executive level
• Experience of managing functional and non-functional test phases and ideally experience managing network and/or infrastructure testing projects as well as application testing
