Cognizant is seeking a QA Automation professional to join the Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. The candidate will contribute to automated testing across functional, regression and end-to-end scenarios, building robust automation frameworks with Playwright and Cucumber/SpecFlow.

Strong API testing and SQL data validation are required. 50% office work and SC clearance eligibility are noted, with active collaboration across agile ceremonies.

Qualifikationen

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements, review acceptance criteria, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios and test cases for Functional, Regression, and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
• Build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks using Playwright (C#/Java), Cucumber/SpecFlow, and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) methodologies.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in API testing, including test design, execution, automation, and maintenance.
• Perform backend data validation using SQL to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across applications.
• Execute testing for enterprise applications, ensuring stable, secure, reliable, and high-quality system functionality.
• Analyse test results and manage the complete defect lifecycle using Jira and AIO Tests, including defect logging, tracking, validation, and retesting.
• Support and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated test execution pipelines to enable efficient, scalable, and repeatable testing processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders by providing test execution updates, defect analysis, and release readiness recommendations.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, supporting the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key skills and experience :

• Candidate should have good experience in Automation Testing, with extensive hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks within Agile delivery environments.
• Playwright (C#/Java), Cucumber/SpecFlow, and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) methodologies.
• Experience in API testing, including test design, execution, automation, and maintenance.
