Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a QA Automation professional to join the Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. The candidate will contribute to automated testing across functional, regression and end-to-end scenarios, building robust automation frameworks with Playwright and Cucumber/SpecFlow.

Strong API testing and SQL data validation are required. 50% office work and SC clearance eligibility are noted, with active collaboration across agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks within Agile environments.
• Hands-on API testing including design, execution, automation and maintenance.
• Backend data validation using SQL for data integrity and consistency.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD integrated test execution pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test scenarios for functional, regression and E2E testing.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cucumber/SpecFlow, and BDD.
• Perform backend data validation and ensure data integrity across applications.
• Execute testing for enterprise applications ensuring stable, secure and high-quality functionality.
• Analyse results and manage defects through Jira and AIO Tests including logging, tracking and retesting.
• Provide test execution updates, defect analysis and release readiness recommendations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support efficient software delivery.
