Job summary

Mitchell Maguire are assisting in recruiting an Area Sales Manager for Outdoor Playground Equipment covering Devon, Cornwall and the southern half of Somerset. The role pays £35,000-£40,000 plus up to £20,000 in commission, with fully expensed EV and full benefits.

The position is field-based, selling design, manufacture and install of playground equipment to schools and related sectors, with a circa £1m revenue target and an average project size of £10k-£20k.

Responsibilities

• Field-based role selling the design, manufacture and install of outdoor playground equipment.
• Sell into schools (≈70%) as well as local authorities, nurseries and leisure operators.
• 70% new business within existing relationships; 30% new business development.
• Call on customer sites, conduct surveys and manage opportunities.
• Typically 4 appointments per day, 4 days a week (one day admin/work from home).
• Inheriting a warm area; no from-scratch start.
• Average project size around £10,000–£20,000; target revenue circa £1m.
• Sales support including field site visits with Head of Sales.
