Overview

Title of Position: Terminal Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Bristol, PA

Signing Bonus: $4,000 ($2,000 paid 3 months after hire, $2,000 after 1 year of continuous employment). Must be rated as at least an "A" or "B" Mechanic by Management.

What does a Terminal Maintenance Mechanic do?

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be a key part of our terminal operations team:

• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyor belts, and mixer components.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using measuring instruments.
• Adjust devices and control instruments using hand tools and levels.
• Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and vendor collaboration.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate, verify, and report downtime for your shift.
• Communicate with management about critical equipment conditions to minimize downtime.
• Perform general labor tasks such as landscaping, painting, and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Active TWIC or ability to obtain one.
• At least one year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in steel fabrication and welding is highly preferred.
• Experience with electrical panels and machinery.
• Experience in maritime, shipping port, dock, or cement industries is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of motors and their operation is highly preferred.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and schematics is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work extra hours when necessary.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA) is a plus.

Physical Demands

In a typical work setting, you will:

• Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Use hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
• Stand for long periods.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, or crawl.
• Hear sounds and distinguish between them.
• See details at close range.
• Identify differences in colors, shades, and brightness.
