Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Unit Catering Supervisor for St Oswalds Primary School Knuzden. The role is fixed term until December 2026, part-time (22.5 hours per week), term-time only, with a pro rata salary of 25,949 per annum.

You will lead a catering team, maintain food safety standards and ensure nutritious meals for pupils, while offering flexible, family-friendly hours and a positive impact on student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and serving food and drinks in line with agreed menus and production plans.
• Supervising and supporting catering team members.
• Ordering food and managing deliveries and stock levels.
• Maintaining records and stock control systems.
• Ensuring high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen hygiene.
• Creating a welcoming dining experience for pupils and staff.
