Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking a part-time Tutor/Coach to work at Portree High School. The role is term-time only, 5 hours per week, with a fixed term to July 2027. A Disclosure Scotland PVG check is required, and the post is not suitable for homeworking.

You will lead sport and physical activity sessions, mentor young leaders and volunteers, and ensure safety, inclusion and high-quality delivery in line with HLH policies.

Qualifications

• Instruct, coach and supervise participants in accordance with HLH policies and NGB guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver safe, inclusive and engaging sport and physical activity sessions for participants.
• Support and mentor Young Leaders assisting with activities to develop skills and confidence.
• Support volunteers involved in activity delivery with guidance and feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance registers and participation statistics.
• Follow risk assessments and safeguarding procedures to ensure participant safety.
• Attend training and contribute to continuous improvement of HLH.
