Job summary

Lawnside Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant – Level 1 on a fixed-term contract through August 2027. The role is 30 hours per week during term time plus 5 training days, supporting pupils in the classroom and assisting teachers with lesson delivery and pupil welfare.

Salary is NJC Level 1d Point 3 (£24,796 FTE per annum). DBS clearance and references are required. Applications close on 18 September 2026, with interviews the following week.

• Supports access to learning under direct instruction.
• Assists classroom staff in managing pupils.
