Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our catering team at a prestigious private college in the UK. The role is term-time only (35 weeks per year), offering a balanced work schedule and an annual salary of £22,063.58.

You will support the Head Chef in delivering nutritious meals for students aged 3–18, staff and guests, and help manage menu planning, food preparation, service, and high food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen teams in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens and hygiene standards.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs and drive financial results.
• Passion for fresh, well-presented food and high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food production, standards, costs and menu planning are delivered to agreed times with the Head Chef.
• Oversee smooth running of the kitchen section and support the Head Chef.
• Assist with food orders and development of new concepts.
• Plan, prepare, cook and present meals to company and client standards.
• Maintain exceptional food safety, presentation and customer service.
