Job summary

Bishop Tufnell CE Primary School in Felpham, Bognor Regis, is seeking a part-time Teaching and Learning Support Assistant for 31.25 hours per week, term time only. The role supports children with EHCPs and SEND, under the supervision of a qualified teacher, with duties across classroom and school activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable children and those with SEND is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning activities for individuals and small groups under teacher supervision, adapting learning programmes as needed.
• Monitor pupil conduct and behaviour and intervene where necessary.
• Supervise pupils in classrooms, playgrounds and dining areas throughout the day.
• Select and adapt resources to support learning objectives.
• Support pupils not following the normal timetable and assist with therapy or care programmes.
