Job summary

Marshfield CE VC Primary School in Marshfield, Gloucestershire, is seeking a teaching assistant to support children with SEND in Year 3. The role is 22.5 hours per week, term-time only, with one hour for lunch supervision, Monday to Friday 8:30am–1:00pm.

Responsibilities

Use praise, scaffolding and appropriate assistance to encourage pupils.
Liaise with the class teacher, SENCo and other professionals about individual education plans, contributing to planning and delivery as appropriate.
Support pupils to develop social skills both in and out of the classroom.
Work towards targets set and ensure plans are adapted and followed.
Consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour-management strategies.
