Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting a Science Technician for a Secondary Independent School in Harrow. The post is term-time, full-time, paid at £95 to £105 per day, ASAP with October 2026 start.

You will work with other technicians to prepare materials and equipment for lessons, carry out risk assessments, monitor stock and dispose of waste. You will also support pupils during practical sessions and must hold a valid DBS certificate.

Qualifications

• Science degree is essential.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Experience in an educational environment is advantageous.
• Must hold a valid DBS certificate.

Veritas Education are currently working alongside an independent secondary school who are looking for a Science technician within their science department. The school caters for children of high academic standards who you will be supporting during practicals and occasionally class sessions.

Responsibilities

• Your duties will include working as a team with other technicians to prepare materials and equipment for science lessons, carrying out risk assessments, keep check of stock and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Alongside the technician role you will also be expected to support students within the classes - especially during practical sessions.

Requirements

• Science based degree is essential
• Previous experience within an laboratory
• Experience working within an educational setting (e.g. working with children)
• MUST have a Valid DBS Certificate
