Job summary

Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough is recruiting a safeguarding post for a permanent contract. The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in learning support or equivalent, completion of the DCSF induction, and experience with children in a school/early years setting.

You will liaise with external agencies, contribute to a culture of vigilance, and work within the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust framework.

Qualifications

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 in learning support / early years or equivalent qualification / experience.
• Have completed the DCSF induction programme.
• Have experience working with children in a school/early years environment.
• Have an understanding and effective implementation of Child Protection procedures, local safeguarding partnerships, and safeguarding practice reviews.
• Have the ability to make a proactive contribution to the work of school staff and external agencies in supporting children, their families and carers.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and protect pupils and staff, ensuring vigilance in safeguarding practice.
• Receive referrals and coordinate procedures with statutory agencies.
