Job summary

Ewell Castle School is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to transport pupils during term time. The role involves a daily split shift with duties to ensure safe and timely pickup and drop-off according to the transport schedule.

Responsibilities include driving the minibus, conducting daily checks, and maintaining records while upholding safeguarding and school policies. A DBS check, right to work in the UK, references, and medical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement.
• Clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Experience driving a minibus desirable.
• Punctual, reliable and safeguarding-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school minibus on designated routes during morning and afternoon shifts.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the minibus clean and well maintained.
• Report any defects or incidents promptly to the Transport Manager.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all passengers at all times and provide courteous, professional service.
• Maintain accurate journey records and follow school transport policies and safeguarding procedures.
