Job summary

Ewell Castle School is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to transport pupils to and from school during term time. The role requires working a daily split shift (07:00–09:00 and 16:30–18:30) with a part-time, term-time schedule.

The successful candidate will hold a UK Category D1 licence, have a clean driving record, and demonstrate safeguarding commitment. Uniform and training are provided; DBS check and right-to-work verification are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement.
• Clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle is desirable.
• Punctual, reliable and responsible with safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school minibus on morning and afternoon routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the minibus clean and serviceable.
• Report any defects or incidents to Transport Manager or staff.
• Ensure passenger safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Provide courteous, professional service to students, parents and staff.
• Maintain journey records and report delays or concerns.
• Follow school transport policies and safeguarding procedures.
