Job summary

East Sussex Academy in Bexhill-on-Sea seeks a reliable Minibus Driver to provide safe transport for students to and from school and other approved locations. The role supports learners’ wellbeing and daily arrival ready to learn.

The position is part-time (30 hours per week, term-time across 38 weeks) with a pro rata salary starting from £17,574 per annum. Applicants must hold a Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement, have a good driving record, and be committed to safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (or eligibility)
• Good driving record
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgement
• Willingness to undertake MiDAS training and other relevant training

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transport for students to and from school and approved locations
• Ensure daily journeys are timely and safe
• Maintain appropriate vehicle safety and cleanliness and report issues
