Job summary

Driver Hire Leicester is seeking D1 Minibus Drivers for long-term, school term-time contracts across Nailstone, Blaby and surrounding areas. You will transport children and vulnerable adults to and from schools and day centres, with an escort ensuring safety and wellbeing throughout each journey.

The role involves split shifts and locations across Leicestershire, with essential requirements including a Full UK Driving Licence with D1 Minibus entitlement, up to 3 points, and an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with D1 Minibus entitlement.
• Minimum 2 years' driving experience.
• No more than 3 points on licence.
• No DD or DR endorsements.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Own transport is essential due to locations and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting children and vulnerable adults to and from schools, day centres and other activities.
• Assist escort to ensure safety, security and wellbeing of all passengers throughout the journey.
• There may be opportunities to undertake additional daytime duties such as post, meal and goods runs.
