Job summary

Malin Bridge Primary School is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to supervise students during the midday break and assist staff as needed. The role requires a calm, friendly presence, good communication, and the ability to manage groups of children in a busy dining hall and playground.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 11:40am to 1:00pm, during term time only, with some flexibility for training and events.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy school environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of students immediately before, during and after the midday meal, including those bringing sandwiches.
• Supervision of entry to dining areas and dining hall behavior guidance.
• Assistance with clearing tables and returning trays to collection points.
• Assistance with washing tables and resetting where needed, when meals staff are unavailable.
• Respond to emergencies by contacting a teacher and arranging appropriate care.
• Monitor playground safety and report concerns to staff.
• Participate in training and perform other duties as required.
