Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a Relief General Kitchen Assistant to support Newton Primary School and other schools in the county borough. You will assist with meal prep, presentation and service, keeping areas clean and safe for pupils and staff.

You may cover across multiple schools; a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate is required with DBS check; training is provided if needed. Hours are 10:00–14:30, Monday to Friday during term time.

Qualifications

• Assistance in preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
• Be prepared to cover at various schools across the County Borough.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and service.
• Lay out dining tables and chairs as required.
• Operate touch screen terminals; training provided on start.
