Job summary

The Lodestar Academy in Torquay is seeking a Catering Assistant for a term-time role. You will join the catering team, assisting with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and beverages for students, while helping to maintain a hygienic kitchen.

The role includes supporting the Catering Manager and adhering to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards, with responsibilities across kitchen duties, food preparation and general cleaning to ensure smooth daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
• Keep kitchen hygienic and clean
• Support Catering Manager and team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Comply with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements
• Term-time catering role with Monday to Friday work pattern
