Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council Careers is seeking a Primary Janitor for Woodhead Primary School in Hamilton to support cleaning and facilities operations during term time. The role includes preparing janitorial documentation, maintaining cleanliness of floors, fixtures and sanitary areas, and monitoring standards in line with COSHH regulations.

You will collaborate with the Facilities Manager, log faults, liaise with contractors, and ensure safety across the site.

Responsibilities

• To effectively communicate with the Facilities Manager; Head of Establishment/Lessee's and Team Members to ensure the customer needs are met on a daily basis.
• To log, monitor and report all damage/faults in relation to the fabric and fixtures.
• To liaise with external contractors and lessee's, ensuring all Health and Safety and security procedures are adhered to.
• To monitor the activities of lessee's and contractors reporting any issues to line manager.
• Ensure unit grounds are kept in a safe and tidy order, free from dangerous articles ensuring Health and safety of staff and visitors.
