Job summary

Lakeside Healthcare is seeking a General Practitioner to join the School Health Centre in Oundle. The role focuses on providing patient-centred care to pupils, with an emphasis on child and adolescent health within an educational setting.

The position is term-time only (33 weeks per year), 12 hours per week across three morning clinics (Mon, Wed, Fri from 8:30am). There is an option to work additional sessions at Oundle Medical Practice during school holidays to stay clinically active.

Qualifications

• Must be GMC registered and on NHS Performers List.
• Experience providing primary healthcare to children and young adults.
• Experience with boarding communities and MOSA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive clinical service to registered pupils.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute medical presentations.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions in the school population.
• Assess mental health presentations and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Arrange investigations, follow-up care and liaison with specialists.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and manage administration.
• Collaborate with the School Nursing Team for safe handover and continuity of care.
