Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is recruiting permanent part-time Static School Crossing Patrollers to cover vacancies in local communities. The role focuses on pedestrian safety, especially for children, across crossing points during term time.

You will receive a rate of £14.27 to £14.83 per hour, calculated to a term-time schedule since you will not work during school holidays and will be paid every 4 weeks. PVG clearance is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Excellent road sense and good communication skills.
• Polite, friendly, punctual, self-motivated/reliable.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• PVG membership required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pedestrian safety, especially for children, while crossing roads.
• Present a protective uniform and complete training provided.
