Job summary

Guardian Angel’s RC Primary School, Bury is seeking a School Cook to join the catering team. This permanent role is term-time only, 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with an ASAP start and a closing date of 27 September 2026. You will help deliver high-quality meals in a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or kitchen environments.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Assisting with organising on-site or transported meal service.
• Carrying out general kitchen and dining room duties, including cleaning and equipment setup.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and house-keeping.
• Completing simple clerical tasks (e.g. temperature logs, cleaning records).
• Promoting positive customer relations and contributing to portion control and cost-efficiency.
